The Diploma Program in International Relations is aimed at promoting foreign policy and diplomacy of Somaliland through education in the wider community. The field is relevant for professionals who are interested in international affairs-oriented education policy, development discourses, global political economy, and so on. Thus, admission to the Diploma Program will be open to a limited number of qualified students who have completed a Somaliland’s GCSE or equivalent with excellent grades (e.g., specific subjects like English/Literature, History, Geography) at an accredited education institution, and a passing mark in an entrance examination prepared for that purpose. Relevant diplomas (e.g., in Arts-based courses) can also grant entry. The Institute’s Academic Commission reserves the right to determine the number of admitted students based on the available facilities and resources.
